Concrete pump wear plate is a crucial wear component in the concrete pumping unit. It resembles a spectacle frame, and thus is often referred to as the spectacle wear plate. Cutting ring is also called a wear ring, its shape likes a ring, and it is called cutting ring because it performs shearing motion in the operating state. Wear plate and cutting rings are a pair of closely fit parts with relative movement.
The wear plate are mounted on the rear wall of the concrete hopper, which has two openings. Each opening is connected to the outlet of the concrete conveying cylinders. The cutting ring fits into the opening of the S-valve assembly. The hole of the wear ring lines up with one of the two openings of the spectacle plate. Driven by the hydraulic cylinder, the ring swings with the S valve against the plate, and swings from one concrete cylinder hole to another. Due to the rapid swing of the wear ring, wear insert and ring generate cutting friction. At the same time, the spectacle wear plate and ring also bear the impact of cutting the concrete. Therefore, the working surfaces of plates and rings not only require high wear resistance, but also undertake certain ant-impact toughness.
In order to increase the service life of concrete pump wear plate and ring, cemented carbide is brazed on the steel body, and the hole wall of plate and ring is hard facing, which is normal carbide spectacle plate and ring. While the hole wall of the plate and ring is also hard metal, this is full carbide wear plate and ring, its life is about 2 times that of common carbide spectacle plate and ring.
